Matua Moritz

Tena koutou e te whanau whanui!

During Weeks 11 and 12 we have had the honour and pleasure of having Matua Moritz in our akomanga. Matua Moritz is a volunteer at our Kura he is from Germany and we have loved having him in our akomanga. He has helped us all in so many ways!

On Tuesday 15 April we had a poroporoaki(farewell) and a shared kai for Matua Moritz. Totara Syndicate and Te Pouahi 15 were involved. All of the tamariki were asked to  contribute kai, the tamariki really outdid themselves, we had an absolute feast. All tamariki were asked to also contribute a koha(donation). With the koha collected, a gift was purchased. A matau(fish hook meaning travel well, strength & integrity) taonga. Whaea Sue Ford(Rm4)was responsible for organising both the poroporoaki, the koha collection and the purchasing of the taonga. Thank you Whaea Sue!

Matua Moritz will have his last day with us on Friday 19 April, he will be traveling back home to Germany during the holidays and we would like to wish him all the best as he travels back to his homeland. We hope that you have enjoyed your time here in Aotearoa. We have enjoyed getting to know you and learning about your language and culture. You will be greatly missed and we wish you all the best for the future.

He mihi aroha tenei kia koe e te rangatira! He tangata humarie koe, he tangata koi koe, otira he tane ngakau nui koe e hoa! Ko te tumanako ka hoki ora pai koe ki te kainga, ma te atua koe e mannaki, e tiaki!
Arohanui Whaea Chanel & Te Pouahi 15.
