On March 1 2013, Te Kuratahi o Whakatu celebrated 'Purple Cake Day'. This is an annual event which encourages tamariki all around the world to dress in purple and raise funds for the unfortunate tamariki from; Haiti, Africa and other underprivileged countries around the world. Here at Te Kuratahi o Whakatu we really love to embrace the occasion and do our best to help out! This year our Kura also participated in our rendition of the 'Harlem shake'.
